Three Brothers and one Loving Roomate helped hatch the idea for this new Business.
The Peterson brothers grew up in the granite city of St. Cloud in a family of five children. As the brothers grew into teenagers they were limited in their access to motor vehicles, as parents took priority and the availability of said vehicles descended by age. Nolan as the youngest, developed his love of bicycling early on in life, both as transportation and excersise. He realized the freedom his bike gave him in getting to his friends' houses and how it allowed him ease in his early employment as a paperboy pedaling up the driveways of those neighborhood houses. The Peterson's were also raised on nightly bedtime stories by their parents. Fantasy lands filled with Boongees and Pompados helped ease the youngster to sleep. This daily dosage of imaginative splendor helped spawn the curiosity and dreams of the young boys. With a Mother whose vibrant voice echoed through the house as their sometimes juggling and nimble fingered father played on the piano, the atmosphere of their house always encouraged the children to think independently and encouraged them in all creative undertakings.
The bold extroversion of their mother rubbed off leading them to be active in theatrical productions throughout high school, and the quiet witticism and puns of their father infused within the hobbies of writing poetry and fiction. The children were armed with creativity and imagination as they left the house and carved out their own lives, pushing on with a sense of adventure. One night... in the dawn of spring in the year 2009, as the news headlines forecasted doom and gloom, Nolan decided to attempt to make his oft cockamamie dreams a reality. After living in Minneapolis since 2004 without a car and transporting himself by bike, he thought his fellow Minneapolites might perhaps partake in the same serenity he felt whilst pedaling. Already engaged in a service industry job, he knew ofhis enjoyment interacting with people. The application of a personable personality to the joy of riding a bike seemed like a natural fit. In a calculated decision he purchased the man powered vehicle and started the foundation of Peterson's Pedicabs.
With the idea hatched the enlistment of the two elder brothers came quick and with excitement, one also carless biker(Ross) and the other an avid cyclist(Brent), they collaborated with Nolan and his roommate Kent in the fledgling endeavor. With all four living south of the monoliths of downtown, they venture through the city streets bound with a sense of adventure and a desire to provide a leisurely experience for whoever may procure their services. These four drivers hope to meet many interesting patrons as they strive for happier and healthier transportation within the congestion of the city.
